Unconventional weddings are my thing! I love when couple use unique ways to celebrate this special day. I find it important that couples find ways to make this day their very own. This is what F & E have done for their wedding weekend in Hamburg. Yes I say weekend, since it took 2 days, which is very common in Germany. First is the civil ceremony, then if people wish, a personal/religious one.
The newlyweds decided to have their personal ceremony on a boat, driving around the Elbe river. Plus, they also did their getting ready together, since they saw each other the day before! It is so romantic, and it gives the couple some time on their own before the rush! The day was quite laid back and very easy going, despite the busy schedule. And the bride might be my smiliest bride ever!! This day was so much fun and filled with laugher!
I have lived in Hamburg for 4 years, so believe me I was trilled to be back there for a weekend. It is now become a destination for me, since I moved to Munich last year, but it is always a joy to come back!
Note: As you will notice, this wedding was filled with all lighting conditions possible. From bright white rooms, to dark barely lit ones. From midday hard sun to sunset. There are photos in a boat lit from the sides with orange cast, and photos from the yard with a green cast.
If you want to see how I deal with all light situations, this wedding is the perfect one to view. The only missing light would be overcast day.
Alright. Enough words. More images!
