Intimate Beach Wedding

November 27, 2020

Christine and Jerome’s original plans for their wedding were completely different. It was supposed to be in another city, in a different region, surrounded by the forest, with a lot of guests. But then, it’s 2020, Covid happened. So they settled for an intimate beach wedding.

They still wanted to get married on their scheduled date if it was allowed. So they drastically reduced their guest list and decided to get married outdoors, just in front of their home. (In my home town, Sept-Iles, Canada)

A beach wedding was the right decision!

We woke up that morning to snow! For an outdoor wedding, this was a challenge, as the temperature that day was around 0 celcius and a bit rainy. But with blankets, laughs, love, and a tent, everything is possible! I really think I heard the funniest and most heartwarming vows in my career!

It was very beautiful event, despite the Covid restrictions. They did no dance party, but prepared a lot of activities for guests to do at their tables. There were no active cases at that time in our region, but they still made sure everything was safe. The food was amazing and part of it was home made! (They made the brisket themselves).

Then came a Day After Session!

Also, since he weather was bad on the day of the wedding, we postponed the couple session to the day after. I LOVE to do that! First, we had a lot more time for it. That relieves a lot of stress! Second, we chose do it during the sunset. Sunset bridal portraits are rare due to scheduling conflicts. Third, it was a bit warmer (though still extremely windy!). And finally, they were alone, enjoying the moment … yet still freezing a little as well, but hey … more hugs!
