WHAT DOES A FAMILY SESSION LOOK LIKE?

June 11, 2020

If you are the kind of person who loves images of the idyllic family with smiling children perfectly posing and looking at the camera, I may not be the right fit for you.

Children get bored easily, and it isn’t a fun experience for them anyway. I let kids be kids. They play, they run, they laugh, they cry, and they pout! It’s perfectly ok, I photograph it all! And I love it all! My goal is to create genuine momeries and the best are those filled with real strong emotions. And I make sure parents participate too!

BEFORE THE SESSION

When you book your session, we will set a location and time. I will ask you what kind of activity you would like to do, and in which kind of decor. We will set a time when the kids are most cooperative. (I suggest mornings). If the weather is bad, don’t worry. I will move your session to another time.

DURING THE SESSION

I like images to be dynamic and unposed, but I will take a moment to do a classic family portrait at the very beginning of the session. I may also take a classic one of the kids together (If there is more than one). This will depend on their level of cooperation. The rest is play, or whichever activity you chose to do. I will take photos of your interactions and single portraits of your kids at this moment.

AFTER THE SESSION

I will do a preselection of the best photos (around 100) and send them to you on an online gallery. You will then be able to select your favorites. Your session includes 20 photos, but you can always add more if you want. Once the selection is done, the photos will be fully edited (colour, contrast, and light) and added to the gallery in high resolution. Download will be unlocked for you at that moment.
